Designer Dogs
Designer dogs are becoming more popular in today’s world and one that has become a phenomenon is called the Labradoodle, these are a mixed breed coming from a Labrador Retriever and a Poodle. They are known for their friendly, loyalty, joyful and clever mannerism with great intellect making them easy to train. Like standard Poodles they are high maintenance and require regular grooming in order to keep their coat up to scratch. They are outdoor loving dogs and like being in the company of other dogs and humans as they are very social. Like Poodles they often are categorized into three breeds depending on height and they have an average life span of anywhere between 13 to 15 years. This specific dog can be used as a service dog if trained correctly due to their energetic characteristics and loyalty to their owners. For more information on the Labradoodle you can check out the following link -

Another popular designer dog is called a Pomapoo, they are also known as Pom-a-Poo or Pompoos. This breed has been developed by breeding a Pomeranian and a Poodle, the looks with this specific breed cannot be determined as they can look more like a Poodle or a Pomeranian. They carry the Poodle characteristics of being friendly and sociable so they are great with the family and strangers. Like Poodles, they require a good brushing daily in order to keep their coat fresh and knot free.
These are very demanding dogs and don’t like being left alone for long periods of time. They would not be very practical for a working family, they are better suited to live with retired people with more spare time on their hands. They live an average 10 to 15 years due to their active lifestyle.
